Tigranโ€™s forthcoming body of music The Bird of a Thousand Voices will be presented as a unique transmedia music theater piece with same title and gets a world premiere at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam June 8th 2024. The work is inspired by an ancient Armenian folktale Hazaran Blbul - ี€ีกีฆีกึ€ีกีถ ิฒีฌีขีธึ‚ีฌ which is about the search for world harmony through self-discovery, sacrifice and rebirth, now spectacularly coming to life in an intriguing immersive light show with shadow play, digitally programmed voices and live music . A collaboration with director Ruben Van Leer, scenographer Boris Acket, singer-performer Areni Agbabian and more affiliated international artists.

the bird of a thousand voices - world premiere

Tigranโ€™s first album of American standards includes songs from the 1920s through the 1950s by Richard Rodgers, Charlie Parker, Jerome Kern, David Raksin, and others. Featuring trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire, saxophonist Mark Turner and special guest saxophonist Joshua Redman.
